Local Philanthropy: Teddy Attack

Teddy Attack is the Iota Beta Chapter's Local Philanthropy and his held every year in the Fall, usually around October. The purpose of Teddy Attack is to raise funds to provide aid to children in the Community. In recent years the chapter has donated funds to support the Child Safe Center. Child Safe is a center for children who have been mentally, physically, and/or sexually abused. The funds are used to provide food and clothing for the children. We also have a teddy drive in which we collect teddy bears that are to be donated to the center. These teddy bears serve as a special friend to an abused child during their recovery process and time of need.

Recent Service Projects

Along with our major philanthropy projects, Alpha Phi also participates in a number of smaller service projects throughout the year. Most recently we have participated in Continuing the Heritage and volunteered at The Christus Santa Rosa Children's Hospital. We also actively participate in the philanthropy and service projects of other organizations on campus. Along with Cardiac Week in the spring, this past fall we participated in San Antonio's Heart Walk.
